The Temple on the Clitunno has entered the UNESCO heritage and is included in the site "The Lombards in Italy: the places of power 568-774 d.C". It is in fact a rare architectural testimony of the Lombard period, which saw the birth of an important Duchy on the territory of Spoleto.
The guided tour will allow you to understand the meaning of this small but beautiful shrine, considered for a long time a pagan temple but which is actually a place of Christian worship, frequented over the centuries by many pilgrims who passed on the Via Flaminia.
