We return to visit the Roman Theatre within the path of the National Archaeological Museum of Spoleto. The theatre dates back to the first century A.D. and stands on a vast artificial platform bordered by a semicircular ambulatory from which you can access the cavea, where the spectators took place.
The remains of the marble decorations still present offer a well-defined picture of the richness of the building in ancient times, which was rediscovered thanks to the scadi of Giuseppe Sordini between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
Buying the Spoleto Card participation in trekking and guided tours is free.
For those who do not have the Spoleto Card there is a € 5.00 per person, upon purchase of the entrance ticket to the museum.
