INTERVALLO

Solo exhibition of Flavio Favelli
curated by Saverio Verini

The halls of the Piano Nobile of Palazzo Collicola will host "Intervallo", the solo exhibition of Flavio Favelli, one of the most important artists of the Itlaian contemporary scene, who participated in two editions of the Venice Biennale, in 2003 and 2013.

The works are made using old furniture, furnishings and decorative elements such as mirrors and frames, along with other materials of a familiar character such as bottles, vases and trays. These objects are combined to create alienating, recognizable but far from reassuring works. The ensemble will create a sort of short circuit with the rooms and furnishings of the Piano Nobile.

In addition, there will also be a series of vintage postcards, assembled with the use of collage technique; the title of the exhibition takes its cue from the famous broadcast Rai, Interval, where postcards of Italian cities were shown in sequence accompanied by classical music.
The exhibition can in fact be considered as a real retrospective of Favelli, which exhibits for the first time in Spoleto.

The exhibition can be visited during the opening hours of Palazzo Collicola
