The small church of Saints John and Paul was consecrated in 1174 and now houses a rich palimpsest of frescoes ranging from the twelfth to the sixteenth century, important evidence of the Spoleto painting culture.
Of great importance is the fresco depicting the martyrdom of Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury, who was murdered in the English cathedral in 1170 and which is connected with the struggle between the papacy and the empire for the domination of the Duchy of Spoleto.
The guided tour will be an opportunity to deepen the many frescoes present.
Visits are FREE for holders of the Spoleto Card, for all others there is a € 5.00 fee to participate in the guided tours, upon purchase of the entrance ticket to the museum.
